Question:
How can I make my voice a voice people want to hear and hold on to every word?
Answer:
There are so many ways to answer this question, depending on why this is important to you. In the end, the only way to be profoundly compelling is to be passionately committed to what you are saying, to be speaking your deepest truth as openly and sincerely as possible. My work is with vocal function because I find that when the voice is working optimally, as it is created to work, we connect to our essence. The other key ingredient to having a pure, resonant voice, capable of nuance and the natural music of spoken language, is to be an exceptional listener. Listen to people you find compelling, on whose words you hang. You will not be able to imitate them, but you will learn what moves you and how to tap into those qualities in yourself.
