JOCELYN RASMUSSEN, MMUS began her career singing and composing popular and jazz repertoire. She later studied and performed opera and other classical repertoire.

Her original compositions were recognized in New York City where she performed them at the United Nations for the Conference of World Religions and for the 50th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Human Rights; at St. John the Divine for the Women of Vision’s Prayer Service for World Peace and for After Hiroshima; at the Lawyers’ Alliance for World Security Peace Awards; at the Artists for Humanity Concert; and at the Time for Peace Awards.

The album Just Love Away, recorded in New York City in 2000, features Jocelyn singing her original compositions.In 1995 she founded More Than Singing and More Than Speaking in New York City where she taught privately and presented seminars at the New York Open Center, the Learning Annex, the New Triad Foundation for the Performing Arts at the Julliard School, LaGuardia College and One Voice New York. She has also presented at Culver City College in Los Angeles, Pfizer, Inc., Corcoran Real Estate, the First International Women’s Teleconference and the Possible Women Leadership Conference.

She has been a guest on the Internet Radio programs Sing 4 All and Followers of the Way. 2012-2013, Jocelyn wrote a monthly column on Children, Creativity and Art for Mom and Caregiver Magazine. Her article “The Voice As Spiritual Ally” was published in Mystic Pop Magazine, May/June 2007. The New York Daily News, US Weekly and Star Magazine have interviewed her as a voice and communications expert. She contributed to LEADERSHIP: BEST ADVICE I EVER GOT by Paul B. Thornton, as well as THE ART OF LIVING: A Practical Guide to Being Alive, Claire Elizabeth Terry, editor.

In the past, many a caller would address me as "Ma'am." In situations of stress I could actually feel the pitch of my voice rising. After a period of work with Ms. Rasmussen, I can speak at a pitch that is far more appropriate to my age and gender. I am more confident in meetings because I know that my voice's tone is consistent with the quality of my thoughts. Best of all is that clients and family members no longer say, "You sound REALLY stressed out!"
