Question:
I am 12 years old and my voice has broken and I cannot sing in my old high pitch; is there any chance of me being able to sing that high again and if so how?
Answer:
If you are male, the answer is no, unless you find the notes in falsetto which is not likely how you would want to sing. If you are female, then your voice, like the male voice, will get an extra layer of epithelium cells. There will be some hormonal influence but the changes are much less dramatic than in men. At your age I would still expect you to be able to sing high. Everyone at this age should work carefully and not push the voice into any extremes.
