Excess saliva due to acid reflux

Question:

I always have too much saliva and this affects my acting and singing. This is what I want to do with my life, but sometimes the saliva gets in my way so much that I literally have to swallow every ten seconds or so. I went to the doctor and they said its acid reflux but I don’t know if that’s it because the medicine doesn’t work. Any suggestions about what I should do? I’ve had this problem for a few years now — I thought I would have overcome it by this time.

Answer:

Excess saliva can definitely be due to acid reflux. You can always get a second opinion but you have to follow medical advice on this one. You can read other posts on EXCESS SALIVA to find some tips but medical issues tend to require medical solutions.
